1925-1927 Mr Arthur Morton Hedley

Arthur Morton Hedley was born in Medomsley, County Durham, in 1872. His residences included, according to stamps on the plans and local directories, Howlish Hall, Bishop Auckland; The Deanery, Lanchester; and The Manor House, Kempsey, Worcester.

Hedley was the manager of the Hedley and East Hedley Hope Colliery between 1918 and 1925. After this, he was manager of the Spa Wood and Eston & Chaloner until 1938.

Hedley was the President of the North England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers from 1925 to 1927. Prior to this he was elected as a member in 1919.
