1929-1931 Mr Robert Simpson Anderson

Robert Simpson Anderson was became a student member of the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers in 1883 and was elected President in the years 1929 and 1930. He was the Chairman of the Support of Workings in Mines Committee and was elected representative of the Institute on the Council of The Institution of Mining Engineers in 1908, and thereon until 1942. Anderson acted as an examiner in the Institute Examinations for Certified Studentship, which were inaugurated in 1937.
