1931-1933 Mr William Cochran-Carr
William Cochran-Carr was elected President of the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers in 1931 and served until 1933. He was also vice-President between 1931 and 1932.
Cochran-Carr originally held the collection of T. H. Hair's watercolours, prior to passing it to the Department of Mining Engineering, Armstrong College. It was from here the collection passed to the Hatton Gallery at the University of Newcastle in the 1990s.
