Few people are aware of the existence in the city of such wonderful interiors. The library building was designed at the height of the English Gothic Revival and presents a fine example of the style.

The high windows and sky lit barrel vaulted ceiling provides the ideal setting for quiet individual study and large scale meetings, conferences and presentations alike.

The Library is suitable for a variety of functions and is able to accommodate:

100 people seated in rows 100 people for a standing function
45 for a seated banquet style functions

The hire cost does not include the hire of any audio visual equipment however you are welcome to bring your own or arrange for hired equipment to be bought into the room.

We can provide catering for your function if required, please let us know at the time of booking.

Note: Charity rate is only available to registered charities

Finger buffet from £3.75 per person
Tea/coffee and biscuits £1.50 per person

Charges will be 1.5 times the above for Saturdays and Sundays.
